I know 10% of you out there just looked at the title and decided to SKIP OUT on this recipe. I see you Cilantro haters out there - my hubby is one of them! But it's all good because you can totally substitute Cilantro essential oil for Basil essential oil and it STILL tastes amazing!
Now, you might ask - why would I use a drop of essential oil when I could just use Cilantro itself? Well, that's a great question and one I asked at the beginning of my oil journey. Essential oils are 50-70 times more potent than herbs!! So all the health benefits of the oil (like digestive support) can be added to my detox salad!
1/2 diced yellow pepper
1/2 diced tomato
1/2 cup diced cucumber
1 cup chopped parsley
1/4 cup diced red onion
2 tsp hemp hearts
1 tsp lime juice
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 drop Cilantro Essential Oil (or Basil for those who can't imagine the thought of Cilantro)
